It's so great to have I Heart macro back! Thank you Lori for hosting again for another year.
Here is my contribution for today. A gift from a friend at Christmas.. she knows I am partial to both of these.......
Nice texture... but what am I...? The top.
Getting closer... have you guessed yet?
Yep, I am drawing this out bit! The middle.
The base.
Margaret knows I love both birds and paperweights. ( and again! ).
Isn't he just so sweet. Thank you Margie.
Today I am linking up to I Heart Macro hosted by Lori at Studio Waterstone.
For those who love to take up close and macro photos.
Please do pop on over for a look... or better still, join in!
Have a great day,

A really super paperweight; I love the bird (naturally), and the base too; such a lovely combo. A lovely surprise gift for you and made for lovely photos to share
What great pictures of such an interesting paperweight!
Thanks Carole.. I love real birds more... Just don't have the lense etc. plus there are not a lot of interesting ones in my town garden! I'll leave that to you....

What a lovely paperweight! I, too, tend to like 'different' things like that.
I like how you made us guess what it was...I was first thinking a powdered cookie :) Awesome paperweight!
That's a beautiful paperweight! And I love the first and last shots!
Cool shots of the lovely paperweight. I didn't have a clue at all after the first shots.
I really like the capture of the base - well done.
